1. Introduction

In a world increasingly shaped by technology, global interconnections, and the pressing imperative of sustainability, the need for academic discourse that bridges these domains has never been higher. The 2-Day International Webinar on Sustainable Development, Digital Transformation & the Impact of Global Events responded to this need, bringing together scholars, research-creators, industry influencers, and students under one virtual roof.

Over two days, participants engaged with international speakers, institutional leaders, research presentations, and a prestigious awards ceremony. The event fostered cross-disciplinary insights, encouraging academics and practitioners to reflect on how digital transformation and global phenomena are rewriting the rules of business, society, education and development.

4. Speaker Profiles

Dr. Umrao Sayyad

Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce & Management, Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Pune. Her presentation on sustainable development explored foundational models, principles of sustainability, and actionable frameworks that institutions can adopt to align with SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Mr. Segun Solomon

Founder & CEO, Segun Solomon Consulting (Nigeria). A recognized thought-leader in digital transformation, Mr. Solomon’s talk featured real-world case studies from emerging economies, charting how global events such as the pandemic accelerated digital adoption and opened new pathways for readiness and resilience.

Dr. Firoz Khan

Senior Faculty Member, Westford University College, Dubai (UAE). With over three decades of industry-academia experience, Dr. Khan spoke on the evolving landscape of global marketing, consumer behavior, digital channels, luxury branding and how sustainable values now shape brand decisions. His session tied together global shifts, technology disruption and new consumption paradigms.

Mr. Ali Assafi

Research Scholar, Bachelor of Computer Applications (Hons. with Research), Symbiosis International University, India / Republic of Chad. Focused on data-security and digital systems, Mr. Assafi’s session addressed how Africa, with its massive youth population and increasing mobile connectivity, is poised to leapfrog traditional development models by embracing digital transformation.

5. Research Paper Presentations

A total of 60+ paper presenters from more than 45 institutions showcased empirical, theoretical and applied research spanning multiple domains: management, commerce, engineering, social sciences, humanities, technology & sustainability. These sessions provided a rich platform for peer-reviewed dialogue, network building and research exposure.

6. Outcomes & Impact

  • Global Reach: Participants and speakers from India, UAE, Nigeria, Chad, and other countries, expanded cross-border academic connections.
